A Better Tomorrow

Lidl

Part of the community

Lidl has over 200 stores on the island of Ireland. It has a presence in virtually every major community.

That matters. Community, after all, is integral to Lidl’s values. Through charitable initiatives, sponsorships, and sustainability, Lidl gives back to the people and places that support it.

Sustainability

360 has partnered with Lidl to strategise, manage, and execute key moments of its “A Better Tomorrow” CSR campaign, including the opening of its new distribution centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

The centre, which cost €100 million to build, is 100% sustainable, and includes roof-mounted solar panels, a newly planted woodland, and a zero waste-to-landfill commitment.

Giving back

We’ve also worked with Lidl to promote its Waste Not initiative, a new campaign to reduce food waste by cutting the price of products that have reached their best before date but are still good to eat…

…and its partnership with Jigsaw, the national centre for youth mental health.

Lidl has pledged to raise €1 million for the charity over the next three years through initiatives like the Trolley Dash and One Good Club with the Ladies’ Gaelic Football Association.

Making a difference

News of the opening of Lidl’s Newbridge centre, and with it the creation of 150 new jobs and cutting of 500 prices across its range, reached 2 million people.

Meanwhile, with the help of extensive media profiling, Lidl’s mental health charity initiative has raised over €200,000 through the Trolley Dash and reached over 1,000 LGFA clubs through One Good Club.
